27th August update

Hi Rob;  Would you copy this to the web page please.  Thanks Tony

Hi All: I’ve had a couple of people show a little concern about about Daish’s protocols for the Kendal trip.  Have just had a long conversation with our ‘rep’ and so to clarify:  You need to wear a face ‘ covering ‘  —  this can be a mask, a scarf or a transparant shield. You will have your temperature taken as you board the coach  —  you will NOT have your temperature taken on arrival at the hotel. Should you begin to feel ill at the hotel you would be expected to do as you would normally at any other time.  Should you be concerned and feel it necessary there is a walk in Covid test center at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal. Please bear in mind that this is a fluid situation and things may well change in the two months before we travel – we might even be able to dance when we get there !

As a heads up  —  Although the local Hash ( Lune Valley ) have started to Hash again in some form they have not confirmed that they are having their weekend away on which we were going to join them for their Sunday run.  Worst case senario we won’t have a run organised ?  Would anybody like to volenteer to look at a map with a view to laying – perhaps a live hare run if we are really stuck – please let me know.

We have one excursion included which I had earmarked for the Sunday run location – should we want the coach for a second day to have a look around the Lake District or visit somewhere in particular then it will cost £400 – or £10.30 each if we all went. I have to let them know by early October – please give it some thought.
