If you know all about Hashing
Check out our Future Runs Diary and we hope we’ll see you there soon.
If Hashing is new to you
We meet at different location each week to run/jog/walk/scramble to follow a trail, 3-5 miles mostly off-road in wonderful countryside.
We aim to lay a trail that will bring all runners back more-or-less together after an hour or so, with long and short options along the route and using numerous tactics to keep the faster runners in check.
Some people walk much of the way, some are marathon runners, and most of us are somewhere in between. It is non-competitive and we look out for each other. Ideally, the way the trail is planned, with checks and falses, means that we stay in sight of each other most of the time. Calling ‘On On!’ once the trail is found helps those following to know where the leading runners are.
We run in the evenings April to September then Sunday mornings. The run always starts on time, after a briefing from the hare. After the run we ‘on down’ to a local pub or club-house, to thank the hares and to socialize.
Everyone welcome!
Interested?
We hope you’ll come and give it a try – just turn up and join in and be prepared to get a bit muddy!
Our Hash costs
We each pay £1.50, payable to Hash Cash after the run at the On Down or via another hasher if you need to get away. Children up to age 16 years 50p.
